The Florida Public Human Resources Association offers an annual Scholarship Award.  This Scholarship is open to anyone who meets the criteria established in the FPHRA By-Laws.  Applicants interested in the scholarship should download the Scholarship Application using the link provided below, and submit applications no later than April 1st.  Applications with attachments can be emailed to the immediate Past President, or mailed to:  FPHRA, 401 East Las Olas Blvd #130-452, Ft. Lauderdale, FL  33301.

The Executive Board will review all applicants and decide who shall be awarded the scholarship. 

Scholarships awarded shall be no less than $1,000 and no more than $2,000 per full time student and up to a maximum of $500.00 for part time students.  Annual scholarships awarded shall not exceed $3,000 in any given fiscal year.  

To be eligible, an applicant must:

1.  Be currently attending an accredited college or university which is in the State of Florida.  The student must be a graduate or undergraduate student of public administration, human resources/personnel management or a closely related field that supports the objectives of FPHRA.

2.  Attach a college transcript and be in good standing with the college or university.  Overall GPA needs to be 2.5 or better.

The Executive Committee shall also take into consideration the situation of the applicant and their commitment to the Human Resource profession.

The recipient(s) of the scholarship will receive a one year student membership for FPHRA. 


Upon recommendation of the Executive Board, one scholarship recipient may be selected to receive a complimentary registration to attend the annual Conference with one night lodging provided for by the Association.  Additional nights of lodging may be provided if approved by the Executive Board.  The recipient of this complimentary conference registration shall prepare a paper or article on a current topic of interest as approved by the scholarship chairperson to be distributed and even discussed at the annual conference.

All scholarships are awarded at the annual conference which is at different locations each year.
